Diesel loco action on Britain's steepest main line gradient, the Lickey Incline. Recorded during 1980-82.
Highlights include:
- 50012 battles its way up the gradient.
- A pair of 20s assist a failed class 45, also with banking assistance from a pair of 37s.
- Onboard a class 31 hauled service receiving banking assistance from Bromsgrove.
- Double-header 40s on a railtour.
- 55022 becomes the first Deltic to tackle this bank, after dark, on one of the final Deltic railtours in 1981.
